The Diner Doodles
So these first doodles are a set with a theme - they were all drawn while consuming copious amounts of coffee at numerous diners around Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. More often then not, they were even drawn on the backs of place mats, or, in the absence of place mats, I'd pester our waitress for paper from the back. Part of the fun of these drawings was drawing on what I could find, and I never took more than a ballpoint pen with me when we went out to diner hop.
My Carry-Around Moleskine
My pocket Moleskine sketchbook is one of the things that keeps my otherwise overactive and destructive nature at bay, allowing me to at least partially function in normal society. Keep in mind, it's only 3.5 by 5.5 inches, so none of these pieces are going to be of mind-blowing panoramic scale, but I do what I can. It's also still a bit young, but I'll add more here as I add more there.
All the Other Doodles
The rest of these come from everywhere - I did a lot of them while working various jobs, including a set that are drawn on pieces of drywall scrap while I was working for my father-in-law and his construction business. There's also a good chunk of them that were done trying to stay awake for fireguard shifts - the army has it's pros and cons.
The Virtual Doodle Bulletin Board
This is actually what I do with all these doodles I scribble on Post-its and notebook paper. I tack them all up on a giant bulletin board in my office.
